2nd Annual First Responders Cook-off - Saturday, April 26th at Lula 9am-2pm!
We are excited to announce our 2nd Annual Howard Brothers First Responders Cook-off! The event is happening on Saturday April 26th, 2025, at our Lula location (4336 Cornelia HWY) from 9am-2pm – And you’re invited!
After our incredible success of last year’s event and having so much fun, we can’t wait to have you join us for food, fun, and community again this year! It’s our way of celebration and honoring the everyday heroes in our communities – The firefighters, EMTs, Police Officers, and all the Frist Responders who serve and protect us every day.
The competition is going to be hot on those Traeger grills this year! There will be 6 First Responders teams participating in our cook off – including the winning team from last year’s event - Gwinnett County Fire Department! All the teams will be racing those perfect flavors for the first-place trophy again this year. The teams will be turning in the competition food at 1pm to our amazing judges and the winning team will be announced at 1:30pm. So be sure to make it down for the grand reveal of the winners and make some noise for our competitors!
Along with the chance to chat with our teams and peek at what they are making, we are going to have a fun day at Howard Brothers!
Bring the family on down to the store! There will be family fun happening the whole time during the competition. We are going to have a couple of different bounce houses for the kids to play in. Come see fire trucks and police vehicles that our brave responders use. There will even be a local radio station at our event! 99.3 My County will be there live keeping the energy high with music and check-ins on air for the event!
While the kids are playing or maybe during the play breaks, stop by our Traeger tent and enjoy some food samples our Howard Brothers and Traeger Representatives will be making up for you! While the competitor’s BBQ isn’t for the public – they’ve got to save their pieces for the judges -, we will be cooking out on our own grills for everyone who comes by! If you’ve never had food cooked on a Traeger grill before, get ready to enjoy some of the good stuff!
This is an entirely free event, and we’d love for you to come out and support the Frist Responders who do so much for us all. Whether you’re coming for the food, the fun, or just to show appreciation to our community heroes, there’s something for everyone at the Howard Brothers Frist Responders Cook-off.
