Traeger Cook - Three Easy Appetizers

Traeger Cook - Three Easy Appetizers

Mark Whiting of Howard Brothers Oakwood does another 'smoke and tell' from his home. This time he has three fairly easy appetizer recipes.

The first, which requires the most prep (though not much) is the Smoked Pig Shots. Basically a piece of thick sliced bacon around a 1/2 sliced kielbasa. Cheddar Cheese cubes, cream cheese with Traeger Rub seasoning piped in... add some onions and fresh jalapeno... add a little more Traeger Rub, and you have a flavorful snack good for anytime. There are lots of ways you can customize this one to your liking.

The second is SO simple and not thought of often. Wrap a 1/2 piece of bacon around a cherry tomato, toothpick it and use some more of your favorite seasoning.

Last, fresh, sliced pineapple. Prep it with maple syrup and brown sugar mixture (to taste) and coat both sides of the pineapple slice. Throw them on the grill grates for 10 minutes on each side. Caramelizes and locks in flavors that all will love.

Visit Howard Brothers in Duluth or Oakwood to see the full line of Traeger grills. We own them. We use them. We love them.
